Hello! I’m Yasmin and I live in the picturesque little bubble, Cornwall. I live with my husband (recently married, still can’t get used to saying husband), our precious daughter, Molly and our cat, Honey. I feel very blessed to to live in Cornwall, it’s so wonderful for bringing up children as there’s an abundance of nature and countryside to explore. I’m a big fan of getting outdoors and appreciating the natural beauty that surrounds us.

Another big love of mine is food. I’ve always been interested in experimenting with different flavours and coming up with new creations. For me, food isn’t just about the taste, it’s about the nutrition it provides too. Unfortunately, we live in a time where obesity rates are sky high, this includes little ones too. The diet industry makes millions from preying on our insecurities and often results in people putting on more weight than they started with. It’s quite literally a recipe for disaster.

My aim is to encourage families to eat healthier, without the need for a ‘diet’. That’s why I have created ‘Healthy Weekdays’. This blog is designed to help everyone follow a healthy lifestyle. It’s not realistic to be on a diet every day. It’s also not very healthy to be fixated on calories or carbs. The idea of this blog is to give you some healthy midweek meals inspiration. Try to focus on making every meal nutritious and healthy Monday to Friday. The weekends aren’t time for binge-eating and gorging on junk, but to allow yourself the odd ‘treat’ (I hate that word). Keep your eyes peeled for healthy recipes, tips and practising mindfulness to keep you on track Monday to Friday.

Just remember, it’s not about how food makes you look in your jeans, it’s about how it makes you feel, and how it benefits your health and well-being.
